Nicolette Fiessinger

Dr. Fiessinger grew up in Dayton, Ohio. She knew from a young age that she wanted to be a veterinarian and started volunteering at shelters and horse barns to gain animal experience in high school. She also spent some time in Italy working with exotic animals during veterinary school.

Dr. Fiessinger attended the University of Montevallo in Alabama for her undergraduate education and collegiate volleyball and spent summers interning in small animal practices. She continued her academic career at Purdue University, where she pursued her veterinary degree. Initially, Dr. Fiessinger planned on pursuing general practice but fell in love with emergency medicine and surgery in her clinical year at Purdue. She loves the excitement and variability that the ER offers.

When not working, Dr. Fiessinger enjoys playing sand volleyball, hiking, and doing anything outside. In the fall, she enjoys watching the Cincinnati Bengals and Purdue football. She has a red Doberman named Jocko, who enjoys going on runs with her.
