Referring Veterinarians

Scheduling:

Specialty consultations are available by appointment only. To submit a referral, please complete a Referral form or log in to our referring veterinarian portal. To assist with case review, please provide all pertinent medical records, including laboratory results, urinalysis reports, diagnostic imaging, and current medications. Medical records can be submitted conveniently via email or via fax at 317-786-4484.

Referring veterinarians with patients requiring intensive or critical care can contact our hospital directly for immediate referral to the Critical Care Unit. The Critical Care Unit is able to receive patients at any time the service is available. Dr. Martindale is also available to consult by phone regarding emergent cases, whether or not referral to IndyVet is anticipated.

For same-day or after-hours referrals, referring veterinarians are encouraged to contact our Emergency Service team. Our doctors can discuss the case, provide recommendations, and help develop a coordinated care plan to ensure a smooth transition of care and the best possible outcome for the patient.
