MacKenzie Casares

Dr. Casares was born and raised just outside of Indianapolis. She earned both her undergraduate and veterinary education at Purdue University, where she developed a passion for emergency veterinary medicine.

Her interest in emergency medicine began early, volunteering in the emergency room at the Purdue University Veterinary Teaching Hospital during her undergraduate years. She continued working at the hospital throughout veterinary school, gaining hands-on experience that helped shape her clinical skills.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Casares enjoys spending quality time with her family and unwinding with a good book. She shares her home with two cats, Maizy and Poptart, as well as Captain, her German Shepherd.
