Upon arrival, the doctor will review records, take a complete history and perform an examination. These steps become the basis for diagnostic work-up and treatment.

Our dedicated staff of RNs and veterinary technicians work around-the-clock monitoring, treating, and caring for each pet.

Communication at the hospital is ongoing, with daily updates to the pet owner and referring veterinarian.

Upon discharge, a detailed synopsis of every case is mailed to the referring veterinarian, along with a copy of the pet's discharge instructions, laboratory work, and radiographs.

The information provided will ensure the best possible care after the pet goes home.

Clients are seen by scheduled appointments. However, if a veterinarian would like a pet to be seen the same day, or after hours, IVR's facility can accommodate.

IVR is an American Animal Hospital Association certified critical care hospital, open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

If Dr. Speiser is not on duty, the doctor in charge will examine the pet and immediately page Dr. Speiser for a consultation regarding the petıs condition.

Many times animals need to be sedated for radiographs or tests. We ask that pets not be fed within 12 hours of scheduled appointments.

In order to hasten a diagnosis, please supply any laboratory results or radiographs the referring veterinarian may have taken.

IVR's facility is an extension of the referring veterinarian. All pets are seen for their referred problem only.

Routine veterinary care is not performed.
