Dr. BrehmAmanda Brehm, DVM
Dr. Brehm is originally from Lee’s Summit, Missouri. She fell in love with horses at a young age and grew up spending more time at the barn than at home. She attended Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Science. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She has a special interest in oncology and plans to pursue residency and board certification in the future.

Dr. Brehm has one dog named Sophie and two cats, Dexter and Andy. In her spare time she enjoys running, hiking and doing anything outdoors!

Dr. LewisTaylor Lewis, DVM
Dr. Lewis is an Indianapolis native and attended Purdue University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science with minors in Biology and Spanish Language. In 2012 she married her best friend and fellow Boilermaker, Brian. Together they traveled to the south for her to attend the University of Tennessee, College of Veterinary Medicine where she graduated with honors in 2015.

Dr. Lewis has a strong interest in exotic pet, zoo, and wildlife medicine. After she completes her internship at IndyVet, she plans to pursue her interest by completing a specialty internship and possible residency in exotic pet medicine. For now the Lewis’ share their home with a rabbit named Bailey but they look to gain more furry four-legged children in the future. In her free time Dr. Lewis like to travel, go camping, and keep her creative side alive.

Danielle Strahl-Heldreth, DVM, MSDanielle Strahl-Heldreth, DVM, MS
Dr. Strahl-Heldreth is originally from Caracas, Venezuela but has spent most of her life living on the United States’ east coast and midwest. She considers herself a perpetual student, educator and lover of all animals. She attended Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA where she earned a Bachelor of Science, majoring in biology with a minor in biochemistry. She went on to complete a Masters of Science in Education. Dr.Strahl-Heldreth continued her education at University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine where she received her doctorate in 2014. She remained at the University of Illinois for advanced training and recently completed an internship in Anesthesia and Pain Management. Throughout her life Dr. Strahl-Heldreth has worked with various shelter, rescue and wildlife organizations on three continents and hopes to continue this philanthropic work in the future.

Dr. Strahl-Heldreth has many goals in life including becoming a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia (ACVAA) and The European College of Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia (ECVAA). She hopes to use the knowledge gained in this endeavor in both a captive and wildlife setting. She has a special interest in working with zoological species along with domestic animals.

Dr. Strahl-Heldreth enjoys spending her off-hours with her husband, Jay, their two dogs, Abby and Brie and the family cat, Minette. In addition to family time, Dr. Strahl-Heldreth enjoys being outdoors, traveling the world, visiting national parks and wildlife refuges, hiking and horseback riding.
