IndyVet announces ophthalmology
IndyVet Emergency and Specialty Hospital, formerly Indianapolis Veterinary and Emergency Center, and Indianapolis Veterinary Referral (IVEC/IVR), is proud to introduce ophthalmology as its newest specialty with the appointment of Dr. Heidi Klein, DVM, DACVO, to its medical staff.

Dr. Klein graduated from North Carolina State University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. As an Indianapolis native, she found herself close to home after graduation, and completed a rotating internship and three-year residency at Purdue University in 2010.
In 2011, she became board-certified in ophthalmology, and currently has professional affiliations with the American Veterinary Medical Association, American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists and Indiana Veterinary Medical Association.

Over the years, IndyVet has expanded its offering for specialty services to include 24-hour emergency and critical care, a canine and feline blood donor program, internal medicine, radioactive iodine therapy (I-131), rehabilitation and surgery, and plans to add additional specialists in the future.
The emergency and specialty hospital is located at 5425 Victory Drive, just south and east of the I-465 & South Emerson Avenue interchange on Indy's southeast side near Beech Grove.
